Fifth Grade Fun!

Thank you to Gisel Perea, for coming in to share a bit of Venezuelan culture during our Hispanic/LatinX Heritage Month. Gisel brought in Hallacas, a traditional dish consisting of cornmeal dough stuffed with a number of fixings, and is typically shared when celebrating La Navidad.

We  connected this to our unit on European Colonization and discussed its effect on Venezuelan culture!
