Arrival & Dismissal Procedures

Dear Bishop Families,

We need your direct partnership in ensuring that all of our Bishop Bears remain safe as they arrive and depart from school each day.

Currently, we are experiencing an increased volume of unattended vehicles left parked in the designated Hug & Go Lane directly in front of the school on Elati Street. To alleviate traffic congestion and maintain a secure environment for all students and staff, please carefully review and adhere to the following procedural reminders:

🚗 Drop-Off Procedures (Arrival)

  • Remain in Your Vehicle: The Hug & Go Lane is strictly for active, immediate loading and unloading.
  • Curb-Side Unloading: Please pull completely up to the curb before allowing your student to exit the vehicle. Students should exit from the passenger side and proceed directly through the front doors of the building.
  • Parking Alternatives: If you need to exit your vehicle or enter the school building, please utilize the main parking lot or park legally along Eastman Avenue or Delaware Street. Do not leave your car unattended in the drop-off lane.

🎒 Pick-Up Procedures (Dismissal)

  • Display Your Placard: Please ensure your green pick-up placard is clearly displayed in your front windshield. Staff members on duty will read the placard and call your student(s) to meet you directly at your vehicle.
  • Pedestrian Safety: Never call your student to cross the street mid-block to enter a vehicle.
  • Utilize Crosswalks: If you are walking to meet your student, you must use the supervised crosswalks located at the street corners to cross safely.

Thank you for your cooperation, vigilance, and continued partnership. When we work together as a community, we make a meaningful difference in keeping our students safe.
